Board Roles

 
President

  1. Coordinate all board meetings
  2. Organize all chapter meetings
  3. Ensure chapter is in compliance with ISACA International requirements
  4. Attend regional/national ISACA events
  5. Conduct annual planning for chapter
  6. Serve as face of the chapter
  7. Ensure members are gaining value as members of ISACA Kentuckiana

Vice President -Membership & Marketing (2 Positions)

  1. Collecting sign-in sheets and sending out CPE certificates
  2. Send out renewal letters to increase member retention
  3. Reach out to people who are taking an ISACA exam and are not an ISACA members
  4. Reach out to members that have not been to a chapter meeting in a while
  5. Create, manage, maintain chapter social media sites
  6. Create a member spotlight to recognize members for their volunteering
  7. Create programs to attract members, such as, speaking at local colleges and universities, have booth’s at local conferences, etc.
  8. Prepare meeting announcement slides

Treasurer

  1. Maintain financial records and is the primary owner of chapter bank accounts
  2. Duties include issuing checks for chapter expenditures, issuing invoices for training revenue, depositing checks for membership dues, recording transactions in Quickbooks, producing financial reports for the chapter, and annually completing the chapter tax return
  3. Presenting chapter finances at board meetings
  4. Coordinate annual chapter audit
  5. File chapter tax reports with ISACA International

Secretary

  1. Takes notes at chapter board meetings and produces board meeting minutes
  2. Additional duties as needed

Vice President – Programming (2 Positions)

  1. The programming position is key to the success of monthly chapter meetings
  2. Coordinate all aspects of chapter meetings including: speakers, location, and food
  3. Poll chapter members for interest in topics
  4. Reaches out to vendors to seek speakers for the events
  5. Vendor contacts are essential to be successful and provide a broad range of topics

Vice President – Communications (2 Positions)

  1. Communicate ISACA national and regional events
  2. Promote Chapter and national ISACA organization at audit and IT security events
  3. Maintain and develop Chapter website
  4. Send meeting notification emails
  5. Monitor the ISACA email box
  6. Attending board meeting to make pertinent decisions on Chapter direction and strategy

Vice President – Education & Certification (2 Positions)

  1. Promote ISACA certifications
  2. Work with local members and non-members taking certification exams to create study groups
  3. Answer exam related questions
  4. Promote ISACA exams

Vice President – Professional & Academic Relations (2 Positions)

  1. Work with other local professional associates, such as ISSA and IIA, to co-sponsor events
  2. Promote ISACA membership to local businesses
  3. Promote ISACA membership and careers to local students

Lexington Coordinator

  1. Reach out to Lexington members to form ISACA community in Lexington
  2. Coordinate monthly meetings in Lexington via teleconference from Louisville
  3. Work with local Lexington companies to sponsor meeting locations
